Internationally-renowned drilling contractor KCA Deutag reached a historic milestone as it celebrated 125 years of operations in September 2013. The Aberdeen-headquartered firm operates in 22 countries including Norway, Russia and Oman and employs over 8,500 staff worldwide.
Aberdeen’s Robert Gordon University (RGU) has unveiled industry-leading drilling and rig training services on its Garthdee campus, thanks to a strategic alliance with international drilling and engineering contractor KCA Deutag.
International drilling contractor, KCA Deutag, has signed two significant contracts valued at over $165m USD.The first contract is a new five year operations and maintenance programme for platforms offshore Angola with mutually agreeable options to extend the duration of this contract.
International drilling contractor, KCA Deutag announces the award of two offshore contracts with new clients for work in South East Asia and Gabon. These contracts are a further representation of KCA Deutag’s continued effort to increase its presence in the global offshore shallow water market.
KCA Deutag, one of the world’s leading international drilling and engineering contractors, announces the award of a contract with Statoil for the management, operation and maintenance of two Category J jack-up rigs which will operate on the Norwegian Continental Shelf (NCS). The contract is for an initial period of 8 years with the option to extend by 4 further periods of 3 years, meaning the Contract could potentially last for up to 20 years. The Contract value is of the order of NOK 5.2billion (USD 900million) for the initial period, and NOK 12.8billion (USD 2.2billion) including options.
